Hey, dear “Sustainability & Regeneration” team,
would like to share an update with you about our circle and the unconference. So during the last 2 weeks we had circle introduction sessions. There we’ve met some of the circle members and discussed the expectations about our collaboration together.
Some of the ideas include:
- Responsible usage of “regen” as a brand
- Workshop: Immunity to Change
- Let’s move past sustainability to regeneration (thus circle name update)
- Importance of Psycological and Economical sustainability (economical>financial)
- Creating long-lasting plans together (1 year+)
- Aligning ecological and economical behaviours
Also you can find some working sheet on the experiences (as well as other info on the circle here: Sustainability Circle).
Whats next?
In the upcoming 2 weeks we’re inviting you to co-design the experience with us by proposing an experience that can support sustainability of the regen alliances (or any community overall). You can find some tips here: Tips for Experience Designers. Come to the Discord chat (#sustainability channel) or answer here if you need anything.
After that (during dec 6-20) we’ll announce the space for interacting with those experiences (conference).
Dear friends,
thank you for signing up for the Regen Alliances Unconference and selecting the “Sustainability circle”. I’m welcoming you and would like to share a brief onboarding to our journey together.
The Vision
- The key idea is to create, support and strengthen alliances in the regenerative ecosystem (being a couple of experts or partnership between orgs)
- The design with 5 circles (diversity, trust, engagement, learning and sustainability) is intended to help with the experiences and practices in each field.
- Our task (as I understand it) is it support the sustainability of the alliances with various experiences for ecological behaviour, economic viability, psychological safety etc.
The Roadmap
- Nov 8-21 Circle buildup – it’s now when we’ll connect and build a vision for the sustainability circle goals and aspirations together
- Nov 22-Dec 5 Experience preparation – we’ll have some time to do tech setup, prepare materials etc
- Dec 6-Dec 20 Demo days / Party – when all of the experience can be presented to all participants
- Days after – to gather a report on feedback and learnings
Our communication platforms
- This email query
- Discord chat (specifically #sustainability channel) for sync communication
- Notion / website (will share more details on that later)
Next steps
- Jump into the Discord chat and say Hi =) i guess it would be more convenient to discuss things there
- Check out your peers on the sustainability circle directory
- Select a time for the 1st circle networking call (as I’m in Central Asia, i can provide some limited time slots, especially for Americas, pls let me know if no options work for you and we’ll figure it out)
- Think of the experience (conversation, workshop, game, activity, experiment etc) you think can contribute to the sustainability that you’d like to have or contribute
If you have any questions or proposals – feel free to chat here or ping me directly via telegram, twitter @maxsemenchuk
Through the voting we've found 2 time slots this week that hopefully can suit most:
- Meetup #1 – tomorrow, Nov 14, 4-4:30pm UTC
- Meetup #2 – next Tuesday 21st, 12-12:30pm UTC
I've sent the invite to the calendar to people who voted, but you can add yourself and track all events here.
I hope you can join at least 1 of those, we plan to meet each other and align about the experiences we want to do or have in the context of sustainability.
Please refer to me or our website/invitation if you have any questions.
