Launch of Regen Score
The year kicked off with the launch of Regen Score, an on-chain reputation system for public good regens. This initiative aligns perfectly with our core values of transparency and collaboration. By evaluating blockchain-based behaviors, Regen Score has set a new standard in fostering trust and community engagement, paving the way for more inclusive and active participation in the public goods ecosystem. Born at EthNYC 2022 and developed with the collective insights and expertise of the Trusted Seed community and our regen alliances, this tool is openly accessible to all. Unconference Experiences
2023 also saw us host two significant unconferences - the Web3 + AI Unconference and the Regen Alliances Unconference. These events were hubs for vibrant discussions, idea-sharing, and making connections. The Web3 + AI Unconference played a pivotal role in bridging the worlds of blockchain technology and artificial intelligence, while the Regen Alliances Unconference focused on fostering collaborations and partnerships dedicated to sustainability and social impact.
Across both events, we hosted over 22 sessions with more than 30 hosts and 268 registered participants, each contributing their insights and expertise. For those who couldn't join us or wish to revisit the insightful sessions, we've compiled the playlists of all recorded sessions.

Matchmaking Program Rollout
A major highlight was the introduction of our Matchmaking Program. Aimed at enhancing community engagement, this initiative has successfully connected skilled individuals with meaningful opportunities.
While quantifying successful matches is still in progress, we’ve received overwhelmingly positive feedback from participants. This year, we have received 31 profile and project submissions and we're constantly striving to refine our matchmaking efforts. We’re enhancing the follow-up processes and experimenting with its integration into Regen Score to generate even more relevant and impactful matches based on data.

Exploring Activism and Web3: Catalonia Social Expedition
During ETHBarcelona, Trusted Seed led the Catalonia Social Expedition, bringing together 15 participants to explore the region's dynamic social movements. Our exploration spanned eight locations: La Comunal, Casa del Mig, Can Vies, La Lleialtat, Can Batllo, Coopolis, Giveth House, and Akasha Hub. Each site offered unique perspectives on community-driven change.
The expedition culminated in a panel discussion called "Web3 and Activism Intersection: What We Can Learn From Each Other" at ETHBarcelona. The discussions highlighted the potential of web3 technologies in supporting and amplifying social movements, while also acknowledging the valuable lessons that grassroots activism can offer the digital world.

Membership and Board Updates
In 2023, Trusted Seed embraced significant changes to enhance our community experience. With the introduction of automatic membership renewal, we've ensured a smooth and continuous journey for our existing members. We've also lowered the entry barrier for new members to just a 1 DAI contribution, replacing the previous 450 DAI requirement, making Trusted Seed more accessible and inclusive. Excitingly, our General Assembly welcomed Monty Merlin Bryant, a founder and source steward at ReFi DAO, as a new board member. Monty's expertise in regenerative communities promises to bring fresh perspectives to our initiatives.
We also bid farewell to Letty, who stepped down from the board this year. Since 2022, her legal insights have been invaluable, and we are deeply grateful for her contributions. Thank you for your service, Letty! 🌱
Launch of Trusted Seed’s Discord Server
Expanding our community-building efforts, we finally launched the Trusted Seed Discord server! This space quickly became a hub for discussions, updates, and community engagement, allowing for more direct and dynamic interactions among members. Fundraising Journey
As we celebrate a year of remarkable progress at Trusted Seed, we're thrilled to highlight some key financial milestones. A pivotal moment was receiving the OP grant for Regen Score, comprising 95k OP tokens. Trusted Seed is set to receive half of these tokens, which are currently locked until August 2024. Our fundraising journey this year was further enriched by the incredible support from our angel investors, sponsors, and donors, whose contributions have been invaluable. Huge praise to Griff, our true angel, for his unwavering support and strategic investments that have significantly bolstered our financial stability.
Compared to last year, our reserves have grown stronger, now standing at $15,600, providing a better foundation for our future endeavors. Looking ahead to 2024, we are preparing for various scenarios that can be brought about by market fluctuations.
