Where are you from? Tell us about your background.
Iām from the UK, although my mother was from Croatia, back with it was Yugoslavia. Fun fact, I traced my dadās line back to William Wallace in Scotland.
What is your current title or occupation?
Thatās the hardest question for me! I want to answer āSomeone who does a bit of whatever theyāre pulled to do, in all sorts of different waysā. I actually answer: Iām mostly facilitating, or working in organisational design, governance, facilitation, and strategy.
Are you working on a project or part of an organization? Tell us more about it and your role in it.
Iām a partner at Nestr, a Holacracy-governed org. (soon to be DAO) that supports the purpose-led self-organising ecosystem.
Iām a co-instigator and DAO member of Regens Unite. We seek ways to support people doing regenerative-focused work to drop biases, build bridges, and meet each other's heart, soul, and mind.Iām a co-instigator at Open Facilitation DAO. We believe that thoughtful and loving facilitation is what organisations and communities need to be healthy, self-organised environments. Weāre looking to elevate the art of facilitation and at the same time make it an available skill to anyone that wants to learn.
I offer organisational design support to ReCommonDAO. Theyāre building a web3 platform for community-land trusts. Weāre also raising money for a research working group on Commons Credits.
Iām also involved with a course thatāll run 2 side-by-side cohorts of 50 web3 people and 50 community land trust people, uniting them around āplace-based regenerationā and giving them the opportunity to build something real together.
We know youāre a superhero! What are your special powers/skills?
Org. stuff, written communication, brand design, facilitation, democratic decision-making spaces, interviewing, ecosystem building, sparking new projects, grounding ideas, making introductions, coaching and mentoring, project strategy. Oh, and just organising. Anything, really! And staying calm in an emergency. Except for spiders, darkness, small spaces, nights like Halloween ā¦
What has been your biggest professional or Web3 achievement yet?
Finding my people.
Who/what inspires you in Web3 or public good space?
Genuine folk in innovative projects who care about the Earth and humanity and communities and agency and changing systems for the better, and do it with humbleness, heart, and a sense of humour.
If you could collaborate with anyone, who would it be? Why?
God. Iād really sort shit out if I could do that.
Do you have any hobbies or other interests? Weāre curious!
I intend to have a new hobby as a local community builder, taking small steps into rebelliousness and standing tall in my innate rights as a human being beyond state and state authority.
Whatās your motivation to be part of Trusted Seed?
I take the precariousness of most DAO contributorās legal situation really seriously.
Is there anything else you want to share with our community? (Fun facts, tips, quotes, promotions, etc.)
It took me many, many years of being a working adult to find a sector where all my seemingly disparate skills and experience are wanted and useful and appreciated, and that gives me access to doing work that I find deeply fulfilling. Hang in there if youāve not yet found that and trust that everything youāre learning will be useful to you one day. All of my experiences - even the most painful ones - gave me just the right skills and abilities to be a useful member of the regenerative web3 space.
